I would like to say a few words about one of the most cowardly acts I have ever seen in Congress. The US Congress already has one of the lowest favorable ratings in the history of our nation, and some members showed why today.
The events that led up to this shameful day, started on September 11, 2012 in a tiny American outpost in Benghazi, Libya. On the anniversary of 9/11 Libyan terrorists affiliated with al-Qaeda attacked our diplomatic mission in Benghazi.
US Ambassador Christopher Stevens was killed. Information Officer Sean Smith was also killed in the attack. They then attacked the CIA Annex, where former US Navy Seals Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty engaged the terrorists in a several hour fight. In the end, both men were killed.
This event lasted several hours. There was a Fast Response team geared up and ready to go help defend our people, but at the ramp, ready to depart, they were told by Washington to stand down. Our people were left on their own. They knew an attack was imminent, and had asked for more security in the days and weeks leading up to the attack. That request was denied.
The day after four Americans were brutally murdered by al-Qaeda terrorists, President Obama took off to Las Vegas for a campaign fundraiser. For weeks the Obama Administration blamed a YouTube video for the attack. They actually arrested a man who made the video.
In the end, we now know that it was a planned terrorist attack. We know that somebody gave the order for our Fast Response Team to stand down. We just don't know who that person was. Hillary Clinton knew what was happening, as it was happening. President Obama knew what was happening, and probably was the person with the authority to order the stand down.
President Obama and Hillary Clinton made a personal promise to Sean Smith's mother that they would find out what happened and personally let her know who and what was responsible for her son's murder. She has never heard from them or their representatives again.
The House Oversight Committiee got involved and conducted hearings. They have tried to get the truth about who gave the stand down order, and who denied the extra security that was requested. They have been stonewalled by the Obama Administration.
Now we get to the cowardly and despicable part of the story. Based on further information obtained, the Oversight Committee conducted further hearings today. Ambassador Thomas Pickering, Admiral Michael Mullen USN (ret), Mark Sullivan (Former US Secret Service), and Todd Keil (former US Department of Homeland Security) were in the first part of the hearing. All members of the Oversight Committee were present for this part.
When these four witnesses were excused after questioning, Ms Patricia Smith (Sean Smith's mother), and Mr. Charles Woods (Tyrone Wood's father) were called to make statements and answer questions.
Shockingly, all of the Democrat members of the US House Oversight Committee but two, left the hearing. They got up and walked out. They had better places to be. They could not be bothered to look these heroes parents in the eye. They didn't have the time for an apology, or even a compassionate word.
This is the most disgusting display of cowardice I have ever seen by a group of elected officials. Words can't begin to describe how angry this makes me. It was a slap in these two parent's faces. They sat in Congress and presided over these men's deaths, and they don't have the courage to face their parents.
They have sat at these hearings and in embarrassing displays of partisan politics, have made disgusting excuses for President Obama, and Secretary Clinton, but they do not have the courage to make the same arguments to the parents of the dead.
Two Democrats stayed, and I respect them for that. The two that stayed are Representative Elijah Cummings who is the ranking member, and Representative Jackie Speier from California. They both had kind words of compassion and condolence for Ms. Smith and Mr. Woods, and it was very evident that it was appreciated by them both.
Even though I do not agree with either of them politically, they have my respect because they conducted themselves in a manner that we should expect from the people who lead our country.
As for the other 15 Democrats on the committee who walked out, all I can say is that in the end, you will be judged for your actions by an authority far superior than myself or the voters. He will judge you, and I can't imagine He will be happy with your actions today.

This is the list of the despicable cowards that couldn't be bothered to stay and offer a kind word for parents whose sons gave their lives for our country.
They are an embarrassment to our country.
I took the time to compile this list because they chose not to show their faces at an Oversight Hearing that we Americans pay them to be at, and every American should know just who chose not to do their job.
I compiled this list so that anybody who wants to let them know what they think about this can call them.
