Overview: Just Baked is a cupcake paradise. This Michigan-based pastry shop -- with five locations, including Canton, Novi, Ann Arbor, Livonia (their flagship store) and Royal Oak -- specializes in extra large gourmet cupcakes. It also has a shop opening soon in Brighton, and recently announced plans to expand nationwide. Among its varieties are the red velvet cheesecake cupcake, the fat Elvis cupcake (yes, it has bananas in it) and the tiramisu cupcake. Just Baked offers numerous fresh-baked pastries as well. They also make cookies, brownies and dog treats.
Decor: A long glass display case full of rows of brightly decorated cupcakes runs the lenght of the shop like a giant cupcake gumball machine. The walls are adorned with sprawling cupcake murals and pastel pastry pop art. Large pink and yellow signs hang from the ceiling behind the counter, with pictures of each gourment pastry next to its yummy description. A few small two-chair tables line the right side of the shop for those who grow weary on their feet trying to decide which flavors to sample.
Specialties: Just Baked can create just about any cupcake, brownie or cookie for any occasion. Weddings, birthday parties, baby showers and graduation parties are welcome challenges. The store makes layer cakes or cupcake towers and can assemble sweets tables for any occasion. Among their other offerings are fruit tortes, peanut butter bars, mini cheesecake slices, pecan diamonds and thier special homemade version of the Hostess Twinkie.

Service: As bright and colorful as thier cupcakes. All employees are well-versed in the Just Baked menu, including all of the requisite information to place orders of any size.
Pricing: Cupcakes are priced at $2.95 each, 2 for $5.50, 6 for $12.50 or $24 per dozen. Original buttercream cupcakes are $2 each, $8 for 6 or $16 per dozen. Fancy buttercream cupcakes are $2.25 apiece, and cookies come in packages of two for $3. Specialty and event pastry order prices vary. Delivery is available and orders can be shipped throughout the U.S.
