The annual event draws seniors in search of information on healthy living, as well as tips for physical fitness.

“It’s nice to get updated information on the latest activities, especially for people looking for information on aging,” said Plymouth Township resident Hermon White.

“Last year we had over 100 seniors,” said Kimberleigh H. Boyce, a program coordinator for the hosting Plymouth Community Senior Transportation. At the booth, Boyce was handing out brown-bag lunches – complete with fruit, water, yogurt and granola – for attendees, which she said they bumped up to 200 this year to keep track of the traffic at the event.

Each of the participating vendors also held a raffle at their booths, for prizes that included gift cards, service discounts and even flower planters.

Livonia resident Judy Lark used the opportunity to get a massage from the Healing Arts Massage booth, which she said helped her with a pinch in her neck.

“My neck was really bothering me,” she said. “She took the kinks out in my neck. It was excellent. Very gentle but very thorough.”

Other vendors at the event included Plymouth’s , the Canton Center Chiropractic Clinic, Senior Helpers of Farmington Hills and Canton’s Physiotherapy Associates.
