Plymouth Bedmaker Provides Quality and Variety with U.S. Made Product

Pat Shockley, owner of Brass & Iron Bed Shop Bed & Boutique says quality and variety are the keys to success for their unique bed business in Plymouth.

"Often when people love antiques they want an iron bed, however the antique beds are never larger than a double," Shockley wrote. "We offer every size. Over 25 styles and finishes."

How did your business come to be?: I loved our beds and the fact they were made in the US so when the previous owner was closing to move out of state, I opened the business.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?: That they (beds) are US-made and you can customize the height, etc.

What do you want your business to be best known for?: Quality, Quality, Quality. We do not import any of our product to make our beds

What's your most popular product or service?: Handcrafted, brass and iron bed made in the US. No screws, nuts or bolts. Our rail systems are interlocking. They don't make them like they use to, but we do.

When was the business founded?: 2004

Why did you choose to locate to Plymouth?: I grew up in Plymouth and love it.
