5. Rodeo Drive performs Kellogg Park tonight

It's the second-to-last week of Music in the Air in downtown Plymouth and country artists Rodeo Drive will perform at 7 p.m. in . The concert is free and open to the public. Be sure to bring a lawn chair.

4. Detroit Tigers' Delmon Young, Max Scherzer to appear at ABC Warehouse in Canton for benefit

Amid a tight division race, the Detroit Tigers' Delmon Young and Max Scherzer will take time out for a cause on Saturday. Young and Scherzer will be at ABC Warehouse in Canton as part of the Gloves for Kids program.

Throughout the season, Detroit Tigers players will be signing limited edition Detroit Tigers posters at Metro Detroit's ABC Warehouse locations in exchange for donations of new or gently used baseball and softball equipment or a $10 donation to the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities. The event is sponsored by the Tigers, 97.1 The Ticket and WWJ News Radio 950.

The players are scheduled to appear from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday at ABC Warehouse, 41690 Ford Road in Canton.

3. A Taste of Greece Cultural Festival starts today

Experience the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Greece this weekend at the 8th Annual Taste of Greece Festival hosted by . 

Events and food are available for the whole family. The event runs Aug. 24-26 at the church, with $2 admission (kids 12 and under get in free). The Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church is located at 39851 5 Mile Road, and a free shuttle is offered from the adjacent Bosch parking lot.

2. Lin Rountree performs in Canton tonight

Looking for some live music? From 7-9 p.m. tonight at , the Canton DDA in cooperation with Canton Leisure Services and the Canton Chamber of Commerce welcomes Lin Rountree to the 2012 Canton Color Tour Jazz Series.

Known for his new approach known as Soul Jazz, Lin Rountree will share his music for the first time at the Canton Summer Jazz Series. He attended Florida A & M University, where he developed a deep appreciation for jazz music. After travelling across the country, he planted his roots in Detroit, known for its richness in R&B, Soul, and Jazz.

1. Canton, Salem kick off football seasons this week at home; Plymouth starts on the road

The Canton Chiefs kicked off their 2012 football season Thursday, dropping a 29-28 overtime decision.

At home tonight is Salem Rocks vs. Ann Arbor Huron on the turf varsity field. The Plymouth Wildcats wil start the season on the road, facing Lansing Sexton.
