5. Today: Tiny Tot Olympics at Heritage Park
Join Canton Leisure Services near the Amphitheater at 10 a.m. today for this gold medal event! Children ages 2-6 can participate in Olympic-inspired events that are just the right size for them! Each participant will receive their very own "gold medal". This is a great photo opportunity so please bring your camera. No pre-registration required. The $3/participant fee should be paid on site.
4. John E. Lawrence plays Canton's Willow Creek Plaza tonight
Jazz artist John E. Lawrence will perform tonight at in Canton. The concert is part of the Canton Downtown Development Authority's Canton Color Tour live jazz series. The music starts at 7 p.m.

3. The Avengers continues at Penn Theatre in Plymouth today
Did you miss out on the blockbuster superhero flick The Avengers the first time around? The film soars into the historic, nonprofit today with a screening today at 7 p.m. and continuing throughout the weekend with the following showtimes:
- Friday: 7 p.m.
- Saturday: 4 and 7 p.m.
- Sunday: 4 and 7 p.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 9: 7 p.m.
All seats are $3.
2. The Crutches perform at Kellogg Park in Plymouth tonight
Party band The Crutches will perform at Music in the Air in in downtown Plymouth tonight, starting at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public and runs until about 9 p.m.
