Happy Friday! Here's what you need to know today.

Trivia: Who holds the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park records for the 100-meter and 200-meter track events?

Yesterday's trivia answer: WSDP-FM (88.1), the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park radio station, was founded Feb. 14, 1972. The station marked its 40th anniversary earlier this year and will celebrate its 40 years on the airwaves with a reunion on Oct. 13.

5. Back to School

The first day of classes for is Sept. 4 and will be a half day. The school calendar for the 2012-13 academic year has not been posted yet.

4. Warren Road May Open Soon

The construction north of Koppernick Road is expected to be completed by Labor Day, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. This means it is possible Warren Road over Interstate 275 will be opened. 

3. Furlough Day

The , Canton Public Safety Records Bureau, and and Ordinance Enforcement Unit are closed today for a furlough day. They will reopen on Sept. 4.

2. Free Music in Downtown Plymouth

Lady Sunshine and the X Band are playing at from 7 to 9:30 p.m. for Blue Cross Blue Shield Friday Night Music in the Air. The blues band is the last in the series of entertainers to play the Hines Park Lincoln stage this summer.

1. Great Lakes State Fair

It's the start of the Great Lakes State Fair at 8 a.m. in Novi at the Suburban Collection Showplace (46100 Grand River Ave). Attractions include a circus, midway, agriculture and livestock exhibits and performances from musicians and bands such as Annabelle Road.
