Yesterday's trivia answer: Ralphie wanted an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle. The precise model Ralphie wanted never actually existed, but was a hybrid of two manufacturers' air rifles, but during the 1940s, when "A Christmas Story," takes place, Daisy air rifles were made here in Plymouth.

5. Canton tree lighting today

Kick off the holiday season with the 33rd annual Canton Township tree lighting event, from 6-8:30 p.m.

Canton's holiday tree will be lit in front of the Summit on the Park at 6:30 p.m. and special festivities will take place both indoors and outdoors, complete with visits with Santa.

4. Do-It-Yourself 3D Paper & Beaded Snowflakes

Learn to make your own decorations for the holiday season! Make some 3D paper and beaded snowflakes 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. at the Plymouth District Library to decorate your tree or room.

1. Ladies shopping event in Plymouth tomorrow

A special holiday shopping event for ladies called "Dashing Through the Stores" is 5 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in downtown Plymouth with special sales, treats, give-a-ways and door prizes. Ladies will also be able to fill out their own wish lists to give to their significant others.
