3. Plymouth Township Concerned Citizens Committee meets today

Plymouth Township's Concerned Citizens Committee will meet 7 p.m. today at in downtown Plymouth. Candidates and current township board members all are invited, but no formal invitations will be sent. For registration information, check . 

2. Plymouth roads slated to close for construction

The City of Plymouth's Summer Road Paving Program has begun, according to the Plymouth city manager's office. Crews currently are working on removing the roadway on Sutherland Street between McKinley and Main Street.  Sutherland is now open to residential local traffic only. Crews then will progress to Harvey Street and will remove pavement on Harvey from Wing Street to Sutherland.  Traffic on Harvey will be closed from Wing to Sutherland and only local residents living on the street will have access to this area. 

Construction on these two streets is anticipated to continue through the next few months, according to the city manager's office.

1. Art in the Park in Plymouth is this week

Check out one of Michigan's largest art festivals this week in downtown Plymouth. , which runs July 13-15 in , offers art, activities and entertainment throughout the weekend.

The following roads are slated to close for the event from 8 p.m. Thursday to 8 p.m. July 15.

• MAIN STREET – From Church Street to Wing Street.  Local business traffic will be allowed southbound from Church to Fralick Street.
• ANN ARBOR TRAIL – From Harvey to Union/Deer
• PENNIMAN – From Harvey to Union Street
• FOREST AVENUE – From Ann Arbor Trail to Wing - may close at 6p.m.
