4. Classic vehicles motor into Canton today

A summer tradition roars into Canton today, featuring some glitzy bling and bumpers. The Power and Platinum Car Show, hosted by the in Canton and the America’s Most Wanted Car Club, will be rolling into Showroom’s parking lot at 6018 North Canton Center Road in Canton.  This unique event will offer lots to look at, food and entertainment from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

2. 'The Dark Knight Rises' opens at midnight tonight at local theaters

The highly anticipated finale of director Christopher Nolan's Batman (Dark Knight) trilogy opens tonight at midnight. and both are offering midnight exhibitions of the film. Be advised that midnight screenings have sold out around the country, so time your ticket purchase accordingly.

The League of Women Voters of Northwest Wayne County will have a candidate forum at 7 p.m. today at the for the Canton Township Board of Trustees and 10th District Wayne County Commission races. The forum is open to the public and moderated by the nonpartisan group.
