4. Local gas prices take a dip this week

Fourth of July travelers are getting a break this year with gas prices taking a dip before the holiday.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Metro Detroit was $3.47 on Monday morning, down from $3.57 a week ago and $3.77 one year ago.

Here are some current prices for a gallon of regular gas at a few nearby stations, according to the Plymouth-Canton Patch Commute page:
