5. 'Mirror Mirror' continues at Penn Theatre in Plymouth

Mirror Mirror, starring Julia Roberts, comes to the in downtown Plymouth this weekend. Showtimes are today at 4:45 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 4:45 and 7 p.m. It also will screen at 7 p.m. June 7. All seats are $3, and the PG-rated film runs 106 minutes. Big Miracle screens tonight at 7 p.m.

Compuware Arena's Drive-In is closed this weekend, but picks up again next weekend, where it will kick off daily operations throughout the summer beginning June 8. Check its website for movie listings as they become available.

4. 'The Little Mermaid' comes to Village Theater in Canton

The Little Mermaid, which will be performed at the in Canton, tells of a magical kingdom fathoms below in the sea, where a beautiful young mermaid longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. The production is put on by the Spotlight on Youth and performances are scheduled at 7 p.m. today and 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Check the event listing on Patch for a link to buy tickets.

3. Farmers market resumes today in Plymouth

Looking for fresh produce and locally created goods? The Plymouth Farmers Market resumes its summer schedule today in its downtown Plymouth spot alongside . The market runs from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

2. Garage sale today will benefit Homeward Bound Rescue League

Canton-based Homeward Bound Rescue League will resume its today to benefit the no-kill animal rescue. The garage sale will be held in a pole barn at 9563 Currie Road in Northville.

Funds raised from the event, which runs 8 a.m.-5 p.m., to provide food, vet care, grooming and supplies for its dogs and cats.

The rescue also will have its regular adoption event from noon-3:30 today at the garage sale. No on-site adoptions will take place, but meet-and-greets and applications will be available.
