5. Music in the Air begins Friday at Kellogg Park

The summer concert season in downtown Plymouth kicks off Friday when the Buggs Beddow Band plays at . The music begins at 7 p.m. and is free to the public. The concerts are put on by the , and the full 2012 schedule can be found on the DDA website.

3. Compuware Drive-In offers second sneak peek weekend

The will offer its second straight sneak preview weekend beginning Friday. Each of the drive-in's three screens will show a double feature: Dr. Seuss' The Lorax and The Three Stooges on one screen, The Avengers and John Carter on the second screen and Battleship/This Means War sharing the third screen. All movies begin at dusk. More information can be found on the drive-in website.

2. The Man Who Knew Too Much comes to Penn for tonight only

Fans of Doris Day and Jimmy Stewart have been able to enjoy each iconic star's hits during the past month at the in downtown Plymouth. Tonight, they can see both stars light up the same screen when The Man Who Knew Too Much comes to the Penn at 7 p.m. today. All seats are $3.

1. Plan ahead: Memorial Day ceremonies come to Plymouth, Canton

In Plymouth, ceremonies begin downtown at 8:30 a.m. Monday as the Plymouth Memorial Day Parade gets under way at Harvey and Wing streets. The parade will proceed north, ending at at Main and Church streets for a memorial ceremony from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

In Canton, there will be a Memorial Day service at the Veterans Memorial in Canton at , just west of the , 1150 S. Canton Center Road in Canton. The service takes place at 1 p.m. Monday.

Also in Canton, the BeckRidge Chorale will perform its patriotic Because of the Brave set Monday at the at Cherry Hill at 1 and 3 p.m. Tickets are $8 and $10 and can be ordered online.
