5. Walk of Trees at Kellogg Park

Christmas trees decorated by local families, service clubs, groups and businesses will be ready for decorating and viewing in Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth starting today until Jan. 2.

4. Happy Diwali!

Hindus around the world are celebrating the five-day festival of Diwali. The literal meaning of Diwali in Sanskrit is "row of lamps.” The most popular tradition of Diwali is filling little clay lamps with oil and decorating homes with rows of lamps that are kept burning all night long. In its true essence, Diwali signifies the victory of Goodness over Evil, Light over Darkness and Knowledge over Ignorance. Read more about Diwali here.

3. Diwali Festival of Lights at the Village Theater

Celebrate Diwali by enjoying a night of songs, dance, sitar, games and displays 7 p.m. at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill planned by Canton Commission for Culture, Arts & Heritage's Multicultural Committee members.

2. Contribute to Patch and Gleaners virtual food drive!

Patch.com, through its 30 Michigan sites including Plymouth-Canton, launched an online food drive to raise $10,000 to feed area families. This is the first virtual food drive for the Gleaners Community Food Bank, and Patch is proud and honored to be their first partner. The drive has been extended from Nov. 17 to Nov. 24.
