Yesterday's trivia answer: From Tom Dusbiber: "Is there a Santa Claus?" was the title of an editorial appearing in the September 21, 1897, edition of The (New York) Sun. The editorial included the famous reply "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus."

5. Menchie's Frozen Yogurt Grand Opening this week

Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, 6427 N Canton Center Road, opened Saturday. Today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., patrons can get half off their frozen yogurt purchase.

4. Letters to Santa

Canton Leisure Services has made special arrangements with the North Pole and the U.S. Post Office to deliver your children's wish lists to Santa. To mail your letter to Santa, drop it in the North Pole express mailbox in the Summit on the Park lobby through Dec. 2.

3. Brown Bag Books at Plymouth District Library

This book discussion group meets at the Plymouth District Library at noon on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Group members are welcome to bring a lunch with them with coffee provided by the Library. A copy of the current title can be obtained at the check-out desk.

2. 'A Christmas Carol' comes to Canton tomorrow

A musical version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol comes to the Village Theater with showtimes Thursday through Sunday. 

Showtimes are as follows:

  • 7 p.m. Thursday
  • 7 p.m. Friday
  • 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday
  • 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday
