5. Plymouth Wildcats vs. Catholic Central Shamrocks on Saturday

The Plymouth Wildcats will face last year's state runners-up Detroit Catholic Central at 1 p.m. Saturday at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park's turf field in third-round playoff action. The Wildcatsdefeated Livonia Churchill on Friday to win their district title.

3. Barefoot Productions presents 'Driving Miss Daisy'

Barefoot Productions presents Driving Miss Daisy by Alfred Uhry to be performed today, as well as Nov.10, 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. and on Nov. 11 and 18 at 2 p.m. in its local community theatre at 240. N. Main in Plymouth.

2. Contribute to Patch and Gleaner's virtual food drive!

Patch.com, through its 30 Michigan sites including Plymouth-Canton, launched an online food drive to raise $10,000 by Nov. 17 to feed area families. This is the first virtual food drive for the Gleaners Community Food Bank, and Patch is proud and honored to be their first partner.

1. Holiday tree lighting and Red Kettle Drive kickoff is Friday in Downtown Plymouth

Downtown Plymouth's holiday tree lighting and Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive kickoff are 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in Kellogg Park. The Salvation Army band also will make an appearance.
