5. Holiday tree lighting and Red Kettle Drive kickoff is today in Downtown Plymouth

Downtown Plymouth's holiday tree lighting and Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive kickoff are 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Kellogg Park. The Salvation Army band also will make an appearance.

4. Operation Christmas Child at Dollar Tree

Stop by from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Dollar Tree to pack a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child. Pack a simple shoe box with school supplies, toys, hygiene items, and other small gifts.  Operation Christmas Child has collected and distributed over 94 million shoe box gifts for needy children in more than 130 countries and territories.

3. Plymouth Whalers Host Windsor Spitfires

The Plymouth Whalers host their cross-river rivals, the Windsor Spitfires, 7 p.m. at the Compuware Arena. Tickets are $12 to $16.

2. Contribute to Patch and Gleaner's virtual food drive!

Patch.com, through its 30 Michigan sites including Plymouth-Canton, launched an online food drive to raise $10,000 by Nov. 17 to feed area families. This is the first virtual food drive for the Gleaners Community Food Bank, and Patch is proud and honored to be their first partner.

1. Busch's Market Grand Re-Opening Tomorrow in Plymouth

Busch's Fresh Food Market will reopen 11 a.m. tomorrow. The newly remodeled store includes expanded meat, seafood and wine departments, plus an increased selection of gourmet cheese.

It's free to take part in the celebration, which will last until 3 p.m. There will be a live performance by Northville High School a cappella group, TrebleMakers, at noon. There will also be prizes like a Keurig Coffee Maker, an autographed football from Titus Young of the Detroit Lions and Dietz & Watson Deli Meat for a year.
