4. Oktober Fest in Plymouth

Go to Oktoberfest for a German-themed appetizer buffet and live Bavarian music. It's free and from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Independence Village, 14707 Northville Road.

3. Pumpkin Palooza is this weekend

Get into the Halloween spirit this Sunday in downtown Plymouth for the second-ever Pumpkin Palooza. The event runs noon-3 p.m., is open to all ages, and offers games, candy and activities throughout the downtown area. Look for Plymouth-Canton Patch's tent — we'll have games and prizes!

2. Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Jr.

Canton's Spotlight on Youth presents . It features a cast of more than 50 children ages five and up from metro Detroit. It's a show of dancing and singing favorites like "Be Our Guest," "Belle," and "Beauty and the Beast." The show starts at 7 p.m. at the Villager Theater at Cherry Hill and tickets are $15.
