5. Restaurant Week comes to downtown Plymouth on Sept. 28

Ten downtown restaurants will show off signature dishes starting Sept. 28 for Downtown Plymouth's Restaurant Week, which runs through Oct. 7. No tickets are required, but meals run between $15-35.

4. Plymouth-Canton calendar to be released today

Parents looking for the 2012-13 Plymouth-Canton calendar might be pleased to know the calendar will be posted today on the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools website. Plymouth-Canton Patch also will publish the calendar for easy reference. The calendar's approval was held up because of ongoing teacher negotiations, but the teachers agreed Tuesday to publish the calendar while negotiations continue.
