5. Last Day for Plymouth Wildcats Toy Drive

The Plymouth Wildcats football team and boosters will accept toy donations at the varsity game tonight. The toy and activity drive is for the Bottomless Toy Chest, a non-profit organization devoted to delivering art projects, crafts and interactive toys to children hospitalized with cancer in Detroit Metro area hospitals. 4. Canton Administration Building Closed for Furlough Day

The Canton Administration Building, Canton Public Safety Records Bureau, Police and Fire Administrative Offices and Ordinance Enforcement Unit will be closed today for a furlough day. They will reopen Sept. 24.

3. "My Fair Lady" at the Village Theater

See the performance of "My Fair Lady" 7:30 p.m. at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill. It's full of comedy, music and romance. The show runs through Sunday, Sept. 23.

2. Kensington Astronomy at the Beach

Join astronomy lovers 6 p.m. at Kensington Metro Park for Kensington Astronomy at the Beach. There will be telescopes, a portable planetarium and a laser-guided tour of the night sky. The keynote speaker is two-time shuttle astronaut and geophysicist Dr. Andrew Feustel, a native of Lake Orion.

1. Register for Sept. 23 Run for Ribbons 5K in Plymouth

Runners rejoice: The inaugural Run for Ribbons 5K will sprint through downtown Plymouth on Sept. 23. Registration for the 5K and mile-long race, which will raise awareness of child abuse, is under way at the Lighthouse Family Charity website.
