2. Merit Commission's Special Meeting

Canton Township's Merit Commission will convene for a special meeting at 5:15 p.m. in the . The board will review job descriptions for two newly created positions, Public Works manager and Engineering Services manager and evaluate a request for an internal process for filling the possible for assistant Public Works superintendent.

3. 'Grease' Auditions Prep

A dance workshop is set for 6 p.m. today at Dance Beat, 1100 W. Ann Arbor Rd. in Plymouth to give hopeful hoofers some preparation for Forever After Productions' Grease auditions. Workshop fee is $10 for a drop-in visit or $30 for the full week of training.

4. Plan Ahead: Electronics Recycling

The first of Wayne County's four electronics recycling events is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Northville City Yards, 650 Doheny Dr., in Northville. Items accepted include: TVs, computers, printers, fax machines, cell phones, stereos, cables, game consoles, laptops and monitors. This event is sponsored by the Wayne County Dept. of Public Services and is open to all Wayne County residents.
