The deadline is fast approaching for potential voters to register in time for the Nov. 8 election. The final day to register is Oct. 11. Those who wish to vote can register at the Secretary of State West Wayne County Plus, 8565 North Lilley Road (corrected address) in Canton, at the clerk's office at , 201 S. Main St., or , 9955 N. Haggerty Road, or via mail with a form available at www.michigan.gov/elections.

5. Plan ahead: Plymouth vs. Canton rivalry game is Friday

Football fans looking for a matchup that has plenty on the line need to look no further than between the unbeaten and the one-loss at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park's varsity field. The game, which also is Plymouth's homecoming, kicks off at 7 p.m. Salem Rocks is playing just a few hundred yards away at the campus' grass field, where they play host to Livonia Stevenson. That game's kickoff time has been changed to 4:30 p.m.

Note: The address for the nearest Secretary of State branch office in an earlier version of this story was incorrect. The correct address is 8565 North Lilley Road in Canton, not on Ford Road. The Ford Road branch closed recently, and all services now are done at the Lilley Road location. The error was the result of referring to an outdated listing for the address.
