What every Plymouth and Northville-area resident should know today

1. Plymouth's City Commission will meet at 7 p.m. tonight at Firehouse Playground at Holbrook and Spring. The agenda includes:

  • Proposed Fee Change – Storm Sewer Tap 
  • Authorization to Purchase Thermal Imaging Camera 
  • Purchase of A.E.D. Units 
  • Soccer Equipment Bids 
  • Purchase of Amkus Jaws of Life 

2. For those of you joining us from Northville this morning (Plymouth Patch is sharing this feature today), please note that Northville's City Council is meeting at 7:30 p.m. today at City Hall, 215 W. Main St. in Northville.

3. In Northville there will be the Tunes on Tuesdays children's concert series. Fans of Plymouth's should appreciate this, as the Gratitude Steel Drum Band performs at the town square, 215 W. Main St. in Northville.

4. Today's forecast: It's another scorcher, with highs between 88 and 92 degrees with mostly sunny skies. Lows will dip down to 66 degrees overnight with a 20 percent chance of rain.

5. Tonight at  Drive-In: Cars 2 (G) with Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (PG-13); Transformers: Dark of the Moon (PG-13) with Super 8 (PG-13) and Mr. Popper's Penguins (PG) with Green Lantern (PG-13).Tickets go on sale at 7:30 the night of the movie and all films begin at dusk (about 9:20 p.m.). Ticket prices are as follows:
