What every Plymouth resident should know today.

1. is coming to Kellogg Park at noon today for the Music in the Park children's concert series. Admission is free.

2. Girl Scouts from local Troop 40196 are to benefit Bennett Elementary School in Detroit. Because of a fire, Bennett lost its school library and the scouts are helping it rebuild its book collection. New or gently used books can be dropped in the donation box at the .  

3. Plymouth's Historic District Commission is meeting at 7 p.m. today at Plymouth in the City Commission Chambers. On the agenda: Appropriateness of proposed front façade, windows and signage for a property at 340 S. Main St.

4. Today's forecast: It's another hot one, with highs between 86 and 90 degrees with a 40 percent chance of rain and a chance of thunderstorms. Lows will dip between 58 and 62.

5. Tonight at  Drive-In: Cars 2 (G) with Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (PG-13); Transformers: Dark of the Moon (PG-13) with Super 8 (PG-13) and Mr. Popper's Penguins (PG) with Green Lantern (PG-13).Tickets go on sale at 7:30 the night of the movie and all films begin at dusk (about 9:20 p.m.). Ticket prices are available at the drive-in's website.
