Five things every Plymouth resident should know today.

1. Custodial workers and bus drivers are expected to arrive in large numbers at Plymouth-Canton's Board of Education meeting tonight. The meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. at , 454 S. Harvey St. in Plymouth.

2. Canton-based Homeward Bound Rescue League  needs seven foster families for adult small-breed dogs. To help, email your contact information to homewardboundmi@yahoo.com, with "Interested in Volunteering" in the subject line. Include your name, phone number and best time you can be reached in the email and any breed or size preferences.

3. The cheapest gas available in Plymouth is at $3.49 per gallon at the following stations: Speedway (1490 S. Sheldon Rd.), Mobil (1545 Ann Arbor Road), Speedway (15255 N. Sheldon Road) and Speedway (1066 N. Mill St.), according to michigangasprices.com and gasbuddy.com as of Monday night.
