1. Job Alert: School Bus Drivers

Michigan Educational Transportation Services is holding a job fair from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today to hire bus drivers to serve Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. The job fair will be held in the school district's Transportation Department driver’s lounge, 1024 S. Mill Street, Plymouth. Call METS at 517-647-7765 for details.

2. Chamber Mixer

's mixer this month is at  . This year marks Super Bowl's 35th year in business. Deliver your congratulations personally during the mixer, set for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Super Bowl. Chamber members may attend for free; non-members pay $10.

3. P-CEP Alumni Party

The second Plymouth-Canton Community Schools organized activity for all former students, Gathering @ The Gridiron is set for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Tickets cost $5 and include food and entertainment; purchase them online through Give2Schools or at the school district administrative office, the E. J. McClendon Educational Center, 454 South Harvey, Plymouth.

Tickets to Friday's football game between and cost $5 and will be sold at Varsity Stadium.

4. Canton Chiefs Soccer Game

Chiefs boys soccer team, which beat Ann Arbor Skyline 2-1 Monday in the first state playoff game, advances in the District 5 bracket.

Monday's win included a goal apiece from Connor Furgason and Mitch Posuniak and an assist each by Nathan Bergeson and Dan Ovesee.

Today, the Chiefs are schedule to play Northville at 6 p.m. tonight at Northville, 45700 Six Mile Rd., Northville.

5. Plan: Furlough Day

The , Canton Public Safety's records bureau, police and fire administrative offices and ordinance enforcement unit will be closed Friday for a furlough (unpaid day off).

Township offices reopen at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Police, fire and emergency services will operate normally, as will Leisure Services Department programs outside the township administration building.
