1. Roast Bruce Patterson

The Wayne 11th Congressional District Republican Committee has organized a fundraising roast featuring former Michigan Sen. Bruce Patterson, R-Canton for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Italian-American Club, 39200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia. Tickets cost $100 and checks should be made payable to the Wayne 11th CDRC. 2. Canton Boys Soccer

The 2011 District 5 Champs also known as the boys soccer team head to a state match, against Dearborn, set for 7 tonight at , 1300 Campus Pky. If you're headed out that way and need to find restaurants, gas stations, etc. check out Saline Patch for help.

3. Halloween Concert

Members of the Canton Concert Band will perform songs featuring a phantom, witches, masked men, Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, pirates and more starting at 3 p.m. Saturday at , 50400 Cherry Hill Rd. Audience members are encouraged to arrived in costume; prizes from area merchants will be awarded.

Admission is by donation ($5 for adults, $3 for children 12 and younger) and proceeds support the shelter for victims of domestic violence, First Step. 

4. A&E's Paranomal State in Canton

John E.L. Tenney of A&E's Paranormal State presents Michigan's top 10 most-haunted places at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 's community room. Find out why ghost hunters from around the world find our state so fasinating. This highly visual program is limiited to those ages 12 and older. Free

5. Get Rid of Old Pills

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is this week. Anyone who wants can turn in expired, unused and unwanted prescription medications to law enforcement for proper disposal. Drugs may be placed in a drop box located at the Canton Police Department's lobby between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the , 1150 S. Canton Center Rd. No questions will be asked. Pills only; no liquids or needles will be accepted.
