1. Senate Transportation Hearing

Mark your calendars for 6 p.m. Tuesday, when the Michigan Senate's transportation committee will host a hearing at on proposed improvements to the Ford Road-I-275-Haggerty intersection — considered one of the most dangerous in the state. 2. Help Heidi Klum Help a Charity

Today is the big day for taking photos to enter in the Winners chosen from Canton will be entered for a grand prize — a trip to New York or Los Angeles and chance to meet Heidi Klum — plus a donation of $1,031 to the Canton charity of your choice.

3 Marching Bands Compete

Plymouth-Canton Marching Band, fresh from hosting Saturday's Great Lakes Invitational competition, will head toMichigan Competing Bands Association's state finals Saturday at Ford Field, 2000 Brush St. Detroit. PCMB is scheduled to perform at 10:30 a.m.; awards are set to be presented at 11:15 a.m.

4. Chamber Hosts Doug Rothwell

The Canton Chamber of Commerce networking luncheon is set for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Summit on the Park. Doug Rothwell, president and CEO of Business Leaders for Michigan is scheduled to deliver the keynote. Tickets cost $20 per person with reservations, $25 at the door for members. Non-members pay $30. 5. Canton Chiefs Football, Soccer State Playoffs

Canton High's is set to play a state semi-final game against Warren De La Salle at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Farmington High School, 32000 Shiawassee Rd., Farmington.
