1. Yom Kippur
The continues through sundown today. Services are set for 10 this morning and 5 tonight at , 321 S. Ridge Rd., The evening service is followed by a community dinner. L'shana tova to those observing this most holy day in the Jewish faith.
2. Second Annual Sound Garden
Take a trip to the to check out the music and art featured during the Second Annual Sound Garden. The trail, just north of Michigan Avenue, between Lilley and Sheldon roads, is a natural delight; dogs are welcome as long as they are on leash.
3. Pig Roast
Men’s Auxiliary will host a pig roast starting at 4:30 p.m. today. This all-you-can-eat event costs $10 per person. Dinner includes roast pig; Italian sausage; chicken; baked beans; potato salad; mac and cheese; and a roll with butter. The VFW Post 6695 is at 426 S. Mill St. in Plymouth. This week at the , meet the folks from organic produce purveyor, Hand Sown Farm of Manchester, a market newcomer who sells greens (spinach, arugula, kale and swiss chard) as well as tomatoes, flowers and Michigan-grown items. The market is on Ridge Road near Cherry Hill Road in Cherry Hill Village.
