Five Things You Need to Know — Sept. 30, 2011

What every Plymouth resident should know today.

1. Construction to slow traffic at downtown intersection

There is construction work taking place at the intersection of Main Street and Ann Arbor Trail in downtown Plymouth. Traffic is limited to one lane in each direction and no left turns are permitted at the intersection. It is anticipated that the lane closures will be in place through Monday.

2. Plan ahead: Saturday is Barktoberfest

Prep your pooch because Saturday is along Liberty Street in Plymouth's Old Village. The event includes a dog walk and pet-related vendors. Day-of-event registration is $25; early registration has already passed. Check-in is 9-9:45 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. The event benefits Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue  and the Old Village.
