1. Beverly Meyer, 'The Music Lady,' performs at Kellogg Park

Beverly Meyer, also known as "The Music Lady," will perform at noon today at as part of downtown Plymouth's Music in the Park children's concert series. Admission is free and the concert should run until about 1 p.m.

2. Plan ahead: 'The Great Muppet Caper' at the Penn this week

For the final week of the 's summer matinee series, The Great Muppet Caper will screen at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday. All tickets are $3. Speaking of the Penn, check our site at 6 a.m. Monday for another chance to win a pair of movie passes for the historic cinema!

3. Compuware Arena's drive-in season still going strong

Screening tonight at  Drive-In: Captain America: The First Avenger (PG-13) with Spy Kids: All the Time in the World (PG); The Smurfs (PG) with Zookeeper (PG); and Crazy, Stupid, Love (PG-13) with Friends With Benefits (R). Check the latest listings at the drive-in's website. Tickets go on sale at 7:30 the night of the movie, and all films begin at dusk (about 9:20 p.m.).

4. Plan ahead: Plymouth football at EMU's Big Day Prep Showdown VII

The Plymouth Wildcats will face Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eastern Michigan University's Rynearson Stadium, 799 North Hewitt Road in Ypsilanti, as part of the Big Day Prep Showdown VII as the prep football season gets under way. 5. Cheapest gas: $3.63 at Speedway stations

The cheapest gas in Plymouth is $3.63 per gallon at two different Speedway locations in Plymouth, according to www.michigangasprices.com.
