2. Today's forecast: Partly sunny

Today will be mostly sunny early, then partly sunny with highs between 79 and 83, according to WeatherBug. Tonight will be partly cloudy with temperatures between 56 and 60.

3. Reminder: Railroad crossing at Beck Road by M-14 closed

The CSX railroad crossing on Beck Road, north of M-14 and just south of , will be completely because of construction at the crossing. Alternate routes will need to be found for motorists driving in this area. See item No. 5 on this list for an alternate route.

4. Lowest gas price: $3.75 at several stations

Looking to fill up before Labor Day weekend? The cheapest gas in town is $3.75 at five stations, according to www.michigangasprices.com. The following stations have fuel at this price as of 1 a.m. today:

5. Plan ahead: Whalers training camp opens Thursday at Compuware Arena

Fans hoping to catch an early glimpse of the Plymouth Whalers can stop by the team's from 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday at . The scrimmages are free and open to the public. According to the team, a potential alternative route is taking Sheldon Road north to Five Mile Road. Turn west (left) on Five Mile Road to Beck Road. Turn south (left) on Beck to Compuware Arena.
