1. Pennies from Heaven Benefit

The and Canton Leisure Services organized a simple fundraiser set for today from 10 a.m. to noon in the lobby of . Bring your spare pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters to donate to the Goodfellows' program to help needy families over the holidays.

4. Aid a Food Pantry

The has issued an appeal for help is hosting or sponsoring a food drive. The Salvation Army needs non-perishable, non-expired foods and toiletry items for the holiday food pantry. For details on how to help, email Laurie Aren at laurie_aren@usc.salvationarmy.org.

5. Plan:  See 'Fox on the Fairway'

P-CEP Park Players are staging Ken Ludwig's "The Fox on the Fairway" Oct. 28 and 29 and Nov. 3 through 5 at the DuBois Little Theater in , 8415 N. Canton Center Rd. Producers describe the play as "a charmingly madcap adventure about love, life, and man's eternal love affair with … golf."
The curtain rises on all shows at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased outside the DuBois Little Theatre from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
