3. 'Super 8' comes to Penn Theatre

Super 8 comes to the tonight for a four-day engagement that will also have screenings on Saturday, Sunday and Thursday. The summer blockbuster, rated PG-13, is a throwback to the type of big-budget sci-fi action-adventures Steven Spielberg often created. No surprise, then, that he is credited as an executive producer. Directed by J.J. Abrams (director of 2009's Star Trek, creator of TV's Lost and Alias), Super 8 is both heartwarming and action-packed. The film runs 112 minutes.
