1. Park Players' Macbeth

In keeping with the season of washing our hands, the Park Players — Plymouth-Canton Education Park's theatre students — will present . The curtain rises onthe Gloria Logan Auditorium at Salem High School, 46181 Joy Rd., at 7 p.m. Friday; the show repeats at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets cost $10.

2. Stuff the Truck at Canton Public Library

The big day is here: Visitors to can help the Detroit Area Diaper Bank reach this year's goal of 200,000 diapers by Thanksgiving. This charity's service provides an essential hygiene item to low-income families with young children — or seniors who may otherwise not leave their homes. The library's Stuff the Truck effort is a key point in the diaper bank's year-round efforts to help others.

Diapers of all sizes are collected — and in this case, open packages are welcome.

Look for the truck outside the library today and tomorrow, on loan from Fat Chef in a Little Coat Catering Services. The diaper bank also collects donations of money; bring a check or money order to help pay for the gas used to haul the diapers to others. The library is at 1200 S. Canton Center Rd.

3. Michigan Philharmonic's Backstage Pass

If you missed Sunday's concert at , don't worry. Michigan Philharmonic musicians (featuring Three French Horns) will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at Liberty Street Brewing Company, 149 W. Liberty St., Plymouth. The concert is free, but please remember to tip your waitress.

4. Canton Cleanup

Anyone inspired by pre-holiday fall cleaning to purge items from their home may have a few large items that can't be put out on the curb for trash day. The solution? Recycle those discards by taking them to , 42100 Van Born Rd., starting at 10 a.m. Friday. Free for Canton residents.

5. Help Open Door Ministry at Harvest Market

Shoppers planning on spending money at (9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Preservation Park) are invited to bring a few thing to the table, so to speak.

volunteers will be collecting toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, deodorant, soap, shampoo and other new personal care items. Open Door volunteers operate a food panty as well as a job bank, but also aim at providing the personal care items as families get back on their feet.
