Good Morning, Canton! ~ Terry Bennett

Canton Township Clerk Terry Bennett has a special message this morning for all the men and women who worked the polls on Tuesday.

Election Day for most people lasts as long as it takes to get into a polling place and cast a ballot. For candidates, it's a culmination of months of hard work.

But for those who work at the polls and in the Canton Township Clerk's office, Election Day is business as usual, even if the day itself is unusually long.

Election workers are typically on duty at 6 a.m. and stick around until the last ballot is counted, which is well after 9:30 p.m.
