The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Plymouth, Canton and other communities in Wayne County as of Thursday morning.
Severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening across all of Southeastern Michigan.
According to the NWS, the main hazard with these storms will be damaging winds up to 70 miles per hour, but isolated tornadoes are possible along with large hail around one inch in diameter.
Several inches of rain can be expected. With the ground already saturated from recent heavy rainfall, this will renew the potential for flooding. Rivers and streams, which are already running high, will see significant rises, which will increase the potential of flooding low lying and poor drainage areas.
A flood watch is in effect through Friday morning.
