In Brief: Road Crews Paving Streets Downtown Today

Heavy truck traffic expected near City Hall and between Ann Arbor Trail, Wing.

According to an email from the city manager's office, road paving crews will be working in Downtown Plymouth this morning.

Drivers can expect to see additional heavy truck and construction equipment working in and around the downtown area, the email said.

Crews will be working on paving Main Street in the area of City Hall as well as Main Street between Ann Arbor Trail and Wing.  The email urged drivers to use extra caution when driving near the downtown construction areas.  Pedestrians who are walking in the downtown area today also should be advised that the new asphalt is extremely hot and it will take several hours to cool enough to walk on.  Pedestrians are advised to use the crosswalks and not walk on fresh hot asphalt.
