Video: Plymouth Kicks Off Holiday Season With Lighting Ceremony, Kettle Drive

Residents gathered in Kellogg Park Friday night to celebrate the season of giving.

The holiday season has officially begun in Plymouth!

The Plymouth Downtown Development Authority and Plymouth Salvation Army Corps hosted the boulevard tree lighting and Salvation Army Red Kettle kick-off in Friday night.

The Salvation Army volunteers were collecting donations in their red kettles at the event.

"We're here hoping that you will help us to help others this Christmas," said Major Daniel Hull of the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army Brass Band performed at the event and gifts were handed out to the first 100 guests. Attendees were also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army pantry.
