Vehicle Reported Missing in Plymouth Township, Found in City

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Plymouth Township Police responded Oct. 8 to the 12000 block of Heritage Drive for a report of a missing vehicle, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police that sometime between 10 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 8, someone apparently stole his dark green 2011 Jeep Wrangler, the report said.

The vehicle owner told police he had been drinking beer the night before at his apartment on Heritage.

An officer searched the vehicle identification number for the Wrangler and found that the vehicle had received a parking ticket on the 200 block of Liberty Street in the City of Plymouth at 4 a.m. that day.

The township officer responded to the area and found the vehicle intact with no signs of forced entry and no items out of place. Police turned the vehicle over to its owner.

Man reports keyed car at Johnson Controls

Plymouth Township Police responded Oct. 8 to Johnson Controls, 49200 Halyard, for a report of a keyed car, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police someone scratched his black 2006 Grand Prix between 6 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. that day while it was parked in the business’ southwest parking lot, the report said.

Police have no suspects.
