Water Main Breaks on Byron Street

Main breaks just east of Main Street; Residents nearby may experience lower water pressure.

The City of Plymouth has experienced a water main break overnight in the 500 block of Bryon Street, just east of Main Street, according to a news release by the city this morning.

Municipal Services crews are on site and awaiting the MISS DIG Underground Utility Marking System in order to locate the other underground utility mains and service leads in the area, the news release said. Residents in the immediate area of the break might experience less-than-normal water pressure as crews begin to repair the broken water main, the release said.

Repairs to the water main are anticipated to take several hours to complete, the city said. Persons with questions related to the water main break can contact the City Department of Municipal Services at dms@ci.plymouth.mi.us or by calling (734) 453-7737.
