Weekend Countdown: A Caroling We Will Go

Travel back in time at the Plymouth Historical Museum for "Old World Christmas Carols" with Simply Dickens.

It's still early in the week, but at least Monday's over and done. If you're seeking something to do this weekend, we're rich with suggestions. Yesterday we told you about the Michigan Philharmonic's "Home for the Holidays" show.

Today we recommend:

"Old World Christmas Carols"

  • Where:
  • When: 7 p.m. Friday
  • Pricing: $10 in advance, $15 at the door
  • Why Go: Simply Dickens will perform a holiday program, "Old World Christmas Carols," at the Plymouth Historical Museum. They'll perform music from the 18th and the 19th centuries, with a few holiday skits thrown in the mix. The show is 7 p.m., but museum doors will open at 6 p.m., so you're invited to stop by early to check out its "A Red Ryder Christmas Story" exhibit.

Pay us another visit tomorrow for more weekend things to do.
