Weekend Countdown: Family Friendly Films

Chill out with a children's classic this weekend; best of all, it's free for kids 12 and younger.

We're at the midweek point and can see that weekend just over the horizon. Every day we've been helping you plan with ideas for things-to-do. So far we've pitched you Open Chess play at the library and the Whalers game against Saginaw.

Today we suggest:

Family Friendly Film Series

  • Where: Michigan Theater, 603 W. Liberty St., Ann Arbor
  • When: 1:30 p.m. Sunday
  • Pricing: Free for kids 12 and younger, or $7.50-$10 otherwise
  • Why Go: Enjoy a family friendly film at the Michigan Theater. Hang out on a cold January afternoon with Kermit, Miss Piggy and the gang as they star in 1979's The Muppets Movie.
