Weekend Countdown: Hockey for a Cause

Catch the Detroit Moose face off against Red Wings Alumni for juvenile diabetes.

Ah, it's Thursday, oh-so-close to the weekend. We know you're looking for things to do, so every day we've offered ideas, including Drummunity!, Dueling Pianos at Karl's Cabin, and the Whalers vs. Saginaw hockey game.

Today we offer another hockey event, one for a very good cause:

Where: Arctic Edge Ice Arena
When: 5 p.m. Saturday
Pricing: $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Kids 10 and younger get in free.
Why Go: Catch the Detroit Moose Hockey Club face off against Red Wings Alumni. You'll see some great hockey and help raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Plus there will be raffle drawings (every ticket-holder is entered) for cool prizes that include Red Wings memorabilia, electronics and more.
