Weekend Countdown: 'I Hate Hamlet'

Looking ahead? Seeking something to do? Let us help you plan.

One weekend gone, but another one is mere days away. There will be plenty going on, and we'll give you daily ideas for your calendar pages.

Today's pick:

I Hate Hamlet

  • Where: Village Theater at Cherry Hill
  • When: 8 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays through Nov. 20.
  • Pricing: $15 adults, $14 seniors and students under 19.
  • Why Go: The Spotlight Players present I Hate Hamlet, a hybrid of comedy, ghost and love story. The story revolves around Andrew, who's offered the role of Hamlet. He moves into an apartment formerly used by Shakespearan actor John Barrymore, whose ghost begins to haunt Andrew. Soon Andrew's girlfriend, real estate agent and his friend are drawn into the mess. It's an evening of raucus fun and laughter. Though, please be warned: It's not for youngsters!
