Weekend Countdown: Open House & Bazaar at Plymouth Historical Museum

'Tis the season for crafts and Christmas fun.

We're at the midway point for the week, and we're continuing to suggest ideas for Friday-Saturday-Sunday fun. Yesterday we mentioned Barefoot Productions' staging of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

Today we pick:

Plymouth Historical Museum Craft Bazaar and Open House

  • Where:Plymouth Historical Museum
  • When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday
  • Pricing: Free
  • Why Go: The Plymouth Historical Museum holds its annual juried Craft Bazaar & Open House, where jewelry, ceramic art, knitted goods, recycled creations, and much more will be sold. A bake sale is planned, too, and kids will have fun making a gingerbread cookie ornament craft, and Santa will visit, too. Also, the museum's "A Red Ryder Christmas Story" exhibit continues, featuring memorabilia from the era and displays inspired by the 1983 film, A Christmas Story.

Check back with us tomorrow for more weekend things-to-do.
