Central City Christmas Spectacular

• Where:
• When: 6 p.m. today, noon and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
• Pricing: $21
• Why Go: The Central City Christmas Spectacular returns for its 8th season to the Village Theater. See more than 100 dancers, singers, actors and gymnasts from Canton and beyond in a show full of Broadway pizzazz.

"Old World Christmas Carols"

• Where:
• When: 7 p.m. today
  
• Pricing: $10 in advance, $15 at the door
  
• Why Go: Simply Dickens will perform a holiday program, "Old World Christmas Carols," at the Plymouth Historical Museum. They'll perform music from the 18th and the 19th centuries, with a few holiday skits thrown in the mix. The show is 7 p.m., but museum doors will open at 6 p.m., so you're invited to stop by early to check out its "A Red Ryder Christmas Story" exhibit.

Plymouth Community Band Concert

• Where: Canton High School
• When: 7:30 p.m. today
• Pricing: Free
• Why Go: Join the Plymouth Community Band at Canton High School's Little Theater, where they'll present their December show.

• Kids Night Out, from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Creatopia Pottery. Children can make a holiday plate or mug for $25. Reservations are required. Call 734-453-8797.
• Polar Expressplays at the Penn Theatre, 7 p.m. today-Sunday and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, $3.
• PCAC Art Reception, 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Plymouth Community Arts Council, featuring the artists in its December show. Drop in and meet the artists and view their work. Free.
