Weekend Planner: 'Miniature Masterpieces'

Enjoy an afternoon of classical music performed by the Michigan Philharmonic, including familiar favorites by Mahler and Debussy, plus an original work by Andre Meyers.

We've arrived at the midpoint of the week, steadily seeking and suggesting weekend events. So far we've told you about the "Trouble in Silver City" murder-mystery dinner and Bill Bynum & Co. at the Plymouth Coffee Bean Company.

Today's pick:

Miniature Masterpieces

  • Where: St John's Episcopal Church
  • When: 2 p.m. Sunday
  • Pricing: $22 general admission, $18 seniors, $10 students
  • Why Go: Enjoy an afternoon of "Miniature Masterpieces," presented by the Michigan Philharmonic. You'll hear soloist Melody Racine sing selections from Debussy and Mahler, plus a new work by Michigan-born composer Andre Meyers.

Be sure to visit with us again tomorrow for another weekend thing-to-do.
