When is the End of Daylight Saving Time 2012?

The clocks are rolling back an hour this time, think of all the fun things you can do with that extra time!

Those 7:30 a.m. commutes will get darker before they get lighter when Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday.

Remember, you’ll "fall back" and set your clocks back one hour. Many electronic devices automatically adjust when Daylight Savings Time begins or ends. It begins again on March 10, 2013.

That extra hour gives you a chance to get out in Plymouth or Canton and have some fun. You could:

  • Check out the Wedding Event Show presented by Whimsical Occasions at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Inn at St. John's.
  • Enjoy an extra hour to socialize at a local bar on Saturday night. Check our directory for local establishments.
  • Get an early start to your holiday shopping. Check here for local stores.
  • Start a blog on Patch, or promote other events going on! You can get started here.

When you change your clocks in the fall and spring, it’s also a good time to change smoke detector batteries and check to make sure device are in working order.

Arizona, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not observe Daylight Savings Time. Around the world, about 75 countries and territories have at least one location that observes daylight saving time, according to TimeandDate.com. On the other hand, 164 don't observe the time change at all.
