Sandhill Cranes Gather

6000 Sandhill Cranes are gathering at Haehnle Sanctuary, Grass Lake.  Each evening now until end of November.

7485 Cranes arrived Nov 5 an all time record.  There is still time to watch the Cranes fly in over your head!  And land in the wetland area.

Each weekend an Audubon Member will greet visitors and have spotting scopes and binoculars for viewing. They can answer any questions you may have about the Cranes.  They are about 3'6" tall and weigh 15 lbs.
